The word is "Breathe." And, it is one of my biggest pet peeves.
You take a deep BREATH
before diving in a pool. "She lost her temper and apologized in the same BREATH
." This is a Noun.
When you inhale and exhale, you BREATHE
. "Dragons BREATHE
fire." This is a Verb.
You do NOT say, "I took a deep breathe
," nor do you say, "I felt like I couldn't breath
." So, PLEASE don't write it that way. Unless, of course, you are trying to send me into an apoplectic fit.
you may now return you to your regularly scheduled interwebs browsing.
good one! you're the first blog I read and commented on my new phone. thanks! now I can breathe a sigh of relief that it all works!
So I was thinking about doing something very evil involving breath and breathe, but decided I like you to much to make your head explode.
yummymummy, really? that never stopped you from torturing me before? you're getting soft in your old age.
my god, you spend 2 days in portland and you turn in to a freaking hippy.
Yeah I know. Plus I was tired as hell after our weekend in Flagstaff.
Never take a teething baby on a three hour car ride.
oh yeah. i'm so with you. the weird thing is i *just* read that in an email from a coworker the other day. i wanted to go "you idiot" but didn't. i figured it would be bad for (her) morale.
i lose a bit of credibility though. apparently, at 2 a.m., i write 'super' when i mean 'supper'. stupid sleepless brain.
what's funny is my very educated friend used breathe wrong today in a sentence and I nearly shot her. MA my ass!
